Privacy policy

Last updated October 7, 2026. This explains what we collect through our contact and listing form, and what we do with it.

What you send us

When you use the form on this site, you choose what to send. Depending on your request, that can include your name, email address and phone number, plus details about your business or event (name, category, description, website, public phone and email, social links, hours, address, city and ZIP, dates and ticket link) and any message you write.

How we use it

We use it to review and answer your request, and to add, update or remove a listing or event. If you tick the optional updates box, we may also send occasional updates from Local Texas Directory. You can ask us to stop at any time.

What becomes public

Business and event details you ask us to list (such as name, description, website, public phone, public email, address and city) are published in the directory. Your own name, personal email and phone number from the "About you" step are used to contact you and are not published.

Who handles your information

What you send through the form is emailed to our team through our own Cloudflare email relay, so Cloudflare handles it in transit; we keep it in our email inbox and do not store it in a separate database. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam, which can see your IP address and browser details; Turnstile loads only when you start using the form. Requests sent before October 3, 2026 were collected by Tally (tally.so), which processes them under its own privacy policy. This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site. If you ask about website, Google Business Profile or social media help on the form, we pass those details to Security Tech Labs, the Tyler company that builds and runs this directory, so it can send you a quote. We do not sell your information. The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic, aggregate traffic counts.

Premium business pages also show the business’s Google rating using Google’s own widget (Google Maps Platform). That part of the page loads when it comes into view, and the review list loads only if you open it. Your browser then contacts Google directly, so Google can see your IP address and may set its own cookies. Local Texas Directory does not store or copy Google ratings or reviews. See Google’s privacy policy.

Business pages show a map from OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, your browser requests map tiles and the map software directly from OpenStreetMap and unpkg, so those services can see your IP address. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.

Some business pages have a “Get a quote” form. What you type there (name, email, optional phone, preferred contact, service, timing, ZIP code and project details) is emailed to that business through our own Cloudflare email relay, so Cloudflare handles it in transit; we do not store it. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam, which can see your IP address and browser details. Turnstile loads only when you open the form. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

If you buy a Plus or Premium page, you pay on Stripe’s payment page (stripe.com). Stripe collects the details needed to take payment, such as your name, business name, billing address, phone number and card details, and handles them under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number. We see your name, email, business name and the status, amount and renewal date of your payment, and we keep those records for billing and tax purposes. See also our terms of service.
